Resting and Recovering

I’m sure you can imagine that I came home from California and crashed! The release of all the tension left me feeling tired beyond belief. Of course, I caught a cold. I’m just so grateful I stayed healthy during all the procedures and treatments! So I’ve been resting and recovering, both physically and mentally, and I’m feeling healthy once again.

I watched a couple of online art classes. I’m a member of The Maker Beehive, and the teacher, Jennifer Chamberlin, offered the nicest surprise! Current members could become “Forever Bees” – a lifetime membership and our previous payments would count toward the membership! I’ve been a member for a while, so my lifetime membership was free! What? Free? I couldn’t even believe it.

I love making all the interesting paint strokes and textures.

Spring is in the air, I can see a few patches of green grass, and a few birds are returning. I’m here at home, my favorite place in the world, with my favorite people. I’m so very grateful!

  1. So glad to hear you’re resting and recovering Michelle and hope your cold is all better now.

What beautiful paintings, the background colours are wonderful and makes the foreground stand out, I think my fave is the bear and I love the messages on them.

Enjoy the wonderfully restorative therapy of creativity and keep resting and recovering.

  2. I’m sorry you caught a cold, but I’m thankful you were at home to recover. I’m so glad you’re on the mend and I’m so happy for your grateful things! 😘

    1. Thank you so much, Kari! It was good luck that I was home to recover, and I’m so grateful for that! ❤️

  3. The bear makes me SO INCREDIBLY happy.

I remember every single year after exams at university I would get sick. Always. It’s like our bodies hold it together and then just…crash when they can. I’m so glad you were able to take the time and space you needed to recover and are feeling better. And how wonderful the procedure is behind you.

Keep on creating. The world needs joy and delight and you offer those in spades <3e

    1. Thank you so much, Elisabeth! You are so kind, and your nice comment made me so happy, especially your last sentence. Thank you. Oh yes, I remember the same thing after exams at university. It’s funny how the body works!

  4. LOOK AT THAT SUNFLOWER! And the expression on the bear’s face is fantastic. I just love all your stuff so very much. I’m so happy that you were able to rest and relax and recover – and a free membership for life? YES OKAY!!!

  6. I am so happy you had the chance to recover and heal – both mentally and physically. I am hoping it will all continue to be upwards from now.

What a great surprise to get a lifetime membership.
Your art is gorgeous. Do you type up the words or is it some paper snaps you are fitting to the image?

    1. Thank you so much, Tobia! You’re so kind. The words came from a book of stickers by Tim Holz. I enjoy using them in my projects.

  7. Enjoy being at home and the wonderful feeling it gives you. Lifetime art classes sounds like a good deal for sure. I hope you continue to feel better and enjoy the art classes and the artistic avenue it provides.

  8. I can imagine how you needed to relax after all you’ve been through. You were smart to heed your body’s need, albeit no cold would have been better… but you’re doing great now. How cool is it that your lifetime membership to the art classes will be free. You’re on a good roll here.

    1. Yes, no cold would’ve been better for sure! It wasn’t unexpected though, after being crammed on a plane with so many people. I’m quite delighted about the lifetime membership! I have so many classes to choose from!
