Mini Embroideries for My Dollhouse

I made some mini embroideries this week – and when I say mini, I mean really mini! The wood hoops were 20 mm or about 1 inch!

Working in such a small size was challenging – especially attaching the teeny, tiny hardware. I could barely even see the little screws. I knew I needed to make the embroideries as small as possible with very little detail. Getting them centered in the wood hoops was impossible for me! But no matter; I’m happy with how they turned out!

I put the little duckie embroidery in the dollhouse bathroom. I can’t even get a focused picture of it!

I put the little flower embroidery on the shelf in the sewing room.

The rest of the embroideries will have to wait until I have places for them.

I also sewed this little lamb using the Willow Lamb pattern from Koala and Mila. I digitized the face in my embroidery software and made it into a patch that I sewed onto the Sherpa fleece. The fleece is stretchy and messy, but I actually didn’t have too much trouble working with it. I love how forgiving it is, especially for hand sewing – my stitches don’t show at all in the bumpy fleece!

She’s a bit too big for my dollhouse, but I don’t mind. I love dolls of all sizes!

Wishing you a great week!
